Paediatric Support Services


Mahogany Rise Primary School offers a unique Paediatric Support service whereby families have access to our Onsite Paediatrician and Occupational Therapist.

Operating in Partnership with Peninsula Health, our school provides FREE onsite Paediatric and Occupational Therapy Services every Tuesday. 

Appointments are charged through Medicare and are therefore FREE for families.

The aim of thes school health service is to promote physical, emotional and social wellbeing to children within a school setting.

This innovative program also provides remedial action and support for student's with health problems and services for students experiencing a range of developmental and behavioural problems including;
  • Developmental delays, including language delay and motor skills
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Early Childhood developmental problems
  • Sleeping problems
  • Learning difficulties and school problems
  • Bowel and Bladder dysfunction

Mahogany Rise PS provides the services of 2 psychologists within the school setting.
These psychologists offer professional help with a range of basic problems, such as making friends, to more complex issues of Mental Health, such as;
  • ​​Dealing with Bullying
  • Anxiety, fear, & phobias
  • Self harm
  • Depression
  • Anger management
  • Attention Deficit and hyperactivity
  • Grief and loss
  • Eating disorders
  • Autism
  • Social skills

Our school psychologist attends the school on Thursday and Friday. Referrals are made through Student Wellbeing (Jess Normington). This is a free service offered by the school.

Peninsula Community Legal Service

Mahogany Rise Primary School offers the unique service of an onsite Lawyer

In this program, a Community Lawyer attends the school every Wednesday morning to provide initial legal advice and information on most legal matters.

This is a free service offered to the MRPS community.
Ongoing casework assistance including court representation is provided in line with the Centre's Advice and Casework Guidelines. The service is strictly confidential.
